About Old Cathay
Old Cathay Soy Sauce has been a part of the Queensland grocery scene for over 50 years. Its success has, in part, been the result of its unique taste and superb quality. Unlike many soy sauces, Old Cathay is brewed in the age-old traditional method (similar to beer) to enhance its flavour profile to give the authentic taste of Chinese cuisine to the recipes you create at home.
Production takes place in the picturesque Chinese city of Suzhou, known for its historic canals, stone bridges, pagodas and meticulously designed traditional gardens, which have now been granted UNESCO world heritage listing. It is then shipped to Brisbane where it is bottled into retail packs.
